You Will Not Take Him!

Damu originally was red with slightly lighter red paws, black mane/tail/elbow fur/ear tufts, black nose, and brown around the eyes and inner ear. I didn't like how his old colors looked anymore and figured he needed a good update too. 

A long time ago I watched a video called "Scars Forgotten Cub" that was the inspiration for this character. The creator ContentIsolation, his/her theory was that the reason Scar grew to hate his older brother was due to him killing his cub. To summarize this happened when they were both young adults. Mufasa had just married Sarabi and Scar met a lioness from outside the pride, whom he fell in love with. They had a bit of fun which then led to his son, Damu(the cub is said to be Kovu in the video but to me I don't follow that so I made Damu). Mufasa outraged, exiles the lioness but agrees to let the cub stay with Scar where he will be safer. Reluctantly, Mufasa agrees. That is, until Simba is born. Not wanting his son to have a cousin who's mother was from another pride. Mufasa changes his mind and goes to find the cub. Scar confronts and fights with his brother getting his iconic scar and is knocked aside only to watch his brother throw his son off a cliff into the raging rapids below(supposedly to die). And that's kind of where it all ends. 

I had an idea of "what if this cub didn't die?" and plan to continue my own theory of how the story from there would go.
Story for the attack scene:It was a nice day of resting for Scar and his son Damu. Until Mufasa got a glimpse of them from Pride Rock. Still filled with hatred of the cub, he goes down to kill it. Scar wakes up to his son's growls which soon turn to scared whimpers. Scar yells at Mufasa "YOU PROMISED HE COULD STAY! YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM!" Mufasa says nothing but a roar and attack Scar knocking him down and then picks up Damu in his mouth and throws him off a cliff into a raging river where it seems Damu drowns. However, unknowing this Mufasa and Scar think he is dead but Damu survives and grows up far away.

Story for this scene:

Damu and his father were relaxing underneath one of the Savannahs many trees, with Damu fast asleep against his father. When there was a roar that caused Damu to awake with a jolt and jump to his paws and growl back and Taka to immediately stand to his paws. It was Mufasa, who had come for Damu. Taka while a bit dazed puts two and two together.

Taka-Mufasa, you wouldn't!
Mufasa-Get out of my way Taka, make this easier for yourself and return to Priderock.
Taka-No! I won't let you! You promised he could stay!
Mufasa-I promised nothing Taka, I agreed against my better judgment. Now get out of my way!
Taka-No! I won't let you take him from me too!

Damu terrified and shaking in fear, get's behind his father. Mufasa roars and lunges at his brother giving him a good hard smack to the head which causes Taka to fall backwards and hit his head against a rock stunning him for just a few seconds but enough to let Mufasa get close to Damu. He smacks the cub before picking him up by the scruff of his neck and run towards the river. Taka still dazed and head now throbbing from hitting the rock so hard. Struggles to get to his paws but manages to do so and starts chasing after his brother hoping and praying that he can reach Mufasa in time. Unfortunately to his horror and dismay, he was a few seconds too late. As he arrived he only just long enough to watch as his son fell from Mufasa's mouth into the raging rapids below. "NO! Murderer" Taka cried in despair and hatred at his brother. Mufasa growled and smacked Taka across his face, leaving a deep scar over his left eye just barely missing blinding Taka. "You forget your place brother, I am the King and if you had just chosen a lioness from our pride I wouldn't of had to do this!"
